  1. A high proportion of children aged 6-59 months in Uttar Pradesh are anaemic. NFHS-5 data indicates that 66% of children in this age group are anaemic.
  2. underweight: 32.1% in NFHS-5.
  3. 17.3% of children under 5 years in Uttar Pradesh are wasted, according to NFHS-5.

Every child deserves right to nutrition and a healthy future. Hope Welfare Trust, believes that no child should remain deprived of nutritious food. Therefore to tackle the pressing issue of malnourishment especially in the regions of which are socially under-developed. We started the of initiative ‘Chachi ki Chalti Rasoi’ , where women prepare food for the children and with the help of a vehicle take it to them. Through this initiative, we promote access to nutritious food for improved health. 

By ensuring access to adequate and nutritious food, these initiatives contribute to poverty reduction, better educational outcomes, and improved economic productivity. Moreover, they are vital in responding to crises and emergencies, providing lifesaving support to those facing food shortages and hunger.

Objective

The primary goal of Chachi Ki Chalti Rasoi is to ensure that no child goes hungry. It serves wholesome meals daily, bringing hope and nutrition to those in need.

Implementation

Hope Welfare Trust, collaborates with local communities to identify areas where food insecurity is prevalent. The program operates a mobile kitchen that travels to various locations, making it accessible to children who might not otherwise receive adequate nutrition.
